This year the 13th Pécs International Dance Festival will start with the premiere of Ballet Pécs. Carl Orff's Carmina Burana will be staged by director-choreographer Vincze Balázs. The co-production of Ballet Pécs and the Pécs National Theatre is funded by the National Cultural Fund.
 
The best professional dance companies of Hungary are coming with their newest pieces between 13 and 18 September 2019 to the Pécs International Dance Festival. Performers include: The Ballet Company of Győr, the Yvette Bozsik Company, the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, the Éva Duda Dance Company, M Studio from Sepsiszentgyörgy, the Inversedance – Fodor Zoltán Company. The Black Box Dance Company is coming from Denmark, it is the first time they perform in Hungary. Of course the all time favourite International Ballet Gala will be organized this year again at the Kodály Centre. Flamenco Sopianae will perfom at the mysterious atmosphere of Cella Septichora and there will be many other outdorr events that can be seen for free.
